Title

Title

Woman, I would have been your son,  to drink
the milk from your breasts like a spring,
to see you and feel you at my side, and hold you
in the laughter of gold and crystal voice.
To feel you in my veins like God in rivers
and adore you in the sad bones of dust and lime,
for your being to pass by my side without sorrow
and be left in the stanza - clean of all evil -.

- Pablo Neruda
